So, I made it to Day 3. Or did I? This is where things get interesting. After feeling encouraged again to see the Master Cleanse through for 10 days, on Day 2, June 15, 2011, I had only consumed 2 glasses already. I went to the restroom, and there it was.... a urinary tract infection! I panicked. I immediately thought that I should end the Master Cleanse at that very moment! I told myself I would only drink water for the remainder of the day, and see what happens. But after it didn't get any better each time I used the restroom, I decided to conduct more research.
This time I was looking for the all side effects that are common, or not, of the Master Cleanse. I searched, and searched. But, the UTI was never revealed as a side effect to the cleanse. (Nausea was a common side effect. I struggled with nausea towards the end of Day 1 and beginning of Day 2) In fact, I had just spoken with a classmate earlier that same day, whose experience was the same! So, I wonder if I had not heard my classmate's testimony regarding the cleanse and UTI would I have reacted the same way. Let me not forget to tell you that, the same classmate was ordered by a doctor to end the process of the Master Cleanse. While, we do not know if the cleanse indeed caused the UTI, we are not sure that it did not. What I am sure about is that the UTI did not exist before I began the cleanse.
Even with all of that said, I found myself thinking later that night that maybe I'll have just one glass tomorrow morning. After all, the fat seemed to be vanishing from my stomach area (as I wished). With those results, who would want to stop? Well like I said before, I prayed about it so I would know whether I should continue or not.
I went to Wal-Mart and bought a bunch of fruit and vegetables that evening. Fruits and veggies, along with water, was all I consumed for the rest of that day. There you have it. I got my answer. It was time for me to Reconsider, and end the Master Cleanse. I don't think it was a bad choice. After all, everything is not for everybody.
I told myself that the following day, June 16, 2011, I would continue in consuming only fruit, veggies, and water for that entire day. Well, I made it through most of the day doing so. In fact, I made it until about 9p.m. Until my boyfriend told me to eat some food because I was behaving strangely, I was snappy, and just weird. LOL. He wanted to hear me say, I'm done (w/the cleanse). Having wished I'd listen to his advice in the past, I uttered the words, "I'm done." Then I heated up a Lean Cuisine, toasted a slice of bread and ate. It was so good! Hey, I still drank only water.
If anyone out there is considering the Master Cleanse journey, I suggest that you Reconsider your motives for doing the cleanse, Reconsider how long you should "stay on" the cleanse, and Reconsider if the cleanse is really for you. We don't want to end up in a worse position than we were before we began the cleanse.
FYI: I did take an herbal tea laxative at the end of Day 2, although I "went" once already that day. The laxative did work. About 6 1/2 hours later, I "went" again.
This was my journey, my 3 day journey, and I'll have to detox in another way. My mom told me to drink Milk of Magnesia. Love her. So long, until another topic.
Thanks for reading! Love to All and Good day! :)

DAY 2
I have reached Day 2 of my Master Cleanse experience. Now, I will tell you how Day 1 went. So, I must say that the hunger cravings were not unbearable. There weren't that bad. However, definitely noticeable. My stomach growled and growled and growled. But sometimes, for example in the mornings, I do go hours without eating. However, in those situations, I know that I will be eating sometime that day. So its really not the same.
The hunger cravings were the least of my problems. It was hard for me to consume 6 glasses yesterday. In fact, I didn't. I consumed 5. The first three were a piece of cake. (mmmm, cake!) Oh, but when I got to the fourth glass, I felt like I was going to throw up when I was drinking it. I felt like it was just too much to consume. So when I got to the fifth glass, I could not drink it all at once. I sipped it over about a 40 minute period. But there was just no room for a sixth glass. With that said, I ended Day 1 with having consumed 5 glasses of the lemonade. (master cleanse)
Here's when we get to the good part. I must say that as the day went on, around evening time, I began to struggle mentally. I know this because I started conducting more research on the Master Cleanse. I found some interesting things, that made me start to Reconsider. Based on my research, many people lose a lot of weight(7-10lbs.) within the first 4-5 days of beginning the cleanse; and 15-20 by the time they reach day 10! Losing that much weight is not something that I want to do. At all. I can spare 5 to 7lbs. max! Well at least I think I can. Hopefully those 5-7lbs. comes from the fat on my stomach! Anyway, the possibility of losing that much weight definitely scared me.
The second thing I found was that a lot of people experience rapid weight gain once they complete there Master Cleanse experience. Now, this part really depends on me and whether I go back to the same eating habits I had before beginning this cleanse. This thing, I probably can handle.
The next thing is that you truly don't get the daily nutrients your body needs while on the cleanse and after a few days your body enters starvation mode (sounds drastic right). So that made me think why am I putting my body through this starvation process?
At this point, I had to step back and think about why I am doing this process. I want to experience the cleanse. The true cleanse of detoxing my body. Also, I want to lose the fat from my stomach, plainly put. And, I want to see for myself if this thing works. I guess there may not be any "diet" that does not come with some "bad" effects. With that said, I have decided to take the pressure of consuming at least 6 glasses a day and going for the "required" 10 day period away. Mind you, I am still striving for 10 days. While striving for 10 days, I may realize that my body cannot handle or does not need 10 days. After all, each of our bodies are distinct.
So, now I am embarking on the Master Cleanse, as to Adrianna Jacenta up to as many days as she can handle not to exceed 10 days Journey.
You may have noticed the name of this blog is Master Cleanse, Don't do it! Reconsider? What I have just spoken of is one avenue of where the Reconsider comes in. Many of you may have thought that Reconsider means, revisit this whole idea of doing the Master Cleanse, and maybe not do it. That may very well be an aspect to you. Others may take the Reconsider as, don't do it! Put the bag of potato chips down, and step away.(maybe the most common?) Finally, others may have thought, and this is the aspect that applies to me, that Reconsider means, reconsider "their" Master Cleanse method and format it to your body...deciding whether I should do 10 days, drink 6 glasses, etc.
After talking with 2 of my classmates, I have been encouraged to continue on in my own way and reinforced of what I should expect to get out of the Master Cleanse Diet. Also, I learned that it is extremely important to strictly adhere to the ingredients. Do not derogate, okay stray, from them!
I will keep striving for 10 days. I will not stop before 10 days unless my body tells me to.
As far as my second day, today, after drinking each glass, I definitely felt a little nauseous. But it is only the second day and my body hasn't adapted to this new liquid diet thing. Things will get better with each day.
I am signing off. Will report back to you guys tomorrow. Remember to keep your individual body in mind, and stick to the ingredients!!!!
Off to get an oil change.
Thanks for reading. Love to all and good day!! :)

DAY 1
Today is the first day of my journey. I have decided to try something new. I have decided to practice restraint. I have decided to put my willpower to the test. I have also decided to create my first blog!! Today, I begin the Master Cleanse 10-day challenge! I have convinced myself that it is worth trying, well my own persuasion and personal friends' testimonies.
I have conducted research on this Detox Diet, consulted promising "doctors to be" and other friends, and I have prayed. I believe it is time to cleanse my body and free it of all of its toxins in one drastic process. Okay, maybe its not all that drastic, but drastic adds flavor to my description of this process. I also believe that this Master Cleanse may be used as a form of fasting as well. Do you agree?
For those of you who are not familiar with the Master Cleanse, simply put, it is a Detox Diet that rids your body of its toxins. Its ingredients include: lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water.
I will share my Master Cleanse experience with you by reporting the capacities of my daily intake; including how it tastes, its side effects (not all side effects are quickly spoken or in tiny print), and the difficulty or ease in seeing this process through. I will not report the full details or full history of the Master Cleanse. Information about the Master Cleanse is not what this blog is for. The purpose of this blog is to simply share with you all my personal experience regarding this Master Cleanse process, in as much detail as possible, to help anyone else determine whether he or she would like to give it a try. However, if you have any questions regarding the background of the Master Cleanse, I will be glad to answer.
Now, lets get to it! I have had my first glass of my experience this morning, and I must say that it didn't really taste bad. The taste of the lemon juice wasn't so powerful or tangy. Therefore, the lemon juice didn't make the drink hard to consume. The taste of the maple syrup really came through. It added a nice, sweet flavor to the drink, as may be expected. Now, the cayenne pepper is the kicker! Even though only one-tenth teaspoon of cayenne pepper is included in the drink, it packs a powerful punch. The cayenne pepper will leave a burning, hot sensation in your throat, which may be expected as well; but the sensation diminishes in minutes or with a drink of water. So, ultimately it does not seem as though the flavor will be a problem in drinking it everyday, multiple times a day.
I will consume at least 6 glasses a day, maybe more. This is only my first day, so I am trying to compose a drinking schedule, determine how much I can take, and how often. Remember, our bodies are all different. Thus, we must moderate our intake according to our individual body responses.
Well, I'm off to venture into Conflicts of Law. I will report back either tonight or tomorrow morning.(Still figuring that part out too).
Feel free to comment!
